Just before the collision, she shared a post on social media while listening to Pharrell Williams’ song “Happy.” Alongside a selfie, she wrote: “This song makes me happy!”

Only about a minute later, her car—moving at roughly 60 kilometres per hour—hit a truck. The impact forced the truck off the road into a ditch and then into a tree. Courtney’s vehicle burst into flames after the crash. Tragically, she was trapped inside and could not get out.

When her family was notified, they noticed a chilling detail: her final Facebook update matched the timing of the accident. According to police, the post was published at 8:33 AM, and the emergency call came in at 8:34 AM.
