Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Crush the cloves lightly (using a mortar and pestle or the back of a spoon), and grate the ginger.
  2. Add the crushed cloves and grated ginger to a mug.
  3. Bring water to a rolling boil.
  4. Carefully pour the boiling water into the mug over the ginger and cloves.
  5. Drop in the tea bag and let it steep for about 3 minutes.
  6. Strain the drink to remove the ginger and clove pieces.
  7. Serve and drink warm for the best result.
