A medicinal herb traditionally used in parts of Latin America, the Caribbean, and Asia

Ingredients

  • 1 medium carrot, chopped (beta-carotene, linked to vitamin A support)
  • 1 handful of spinach (natural sources of lutein and zeaxanthin)
  • ½ cup mango or papaya (vitamin C and protective antioxidants)
  • ½ kiwi (extra vitamin C)
  • ½ cup coconut water (or plain water)
  • ¼ avocado (healthy fats to improve nutrient absorption)
  • 2 small fresh Oregano Orejón leaves, finely chopped (or ¼ teaspoon dried)
  • Optional: juice of ¼ lemon (adds more vitamin C and brightness)
  • A few ice cubes

Directions

  1. Rinse all fruits, vegetables, and herb leaves well.
  2. Peel (if needed) and cut the carrot, mango/papaya, and kiwi into small pieces.
  3. Add everything to a blender: produce, avocado, liquid, Oregano Orejón, and ice.
  4. Blend until creamy and smooth, about 30–45 seconds.
  5. Taste and adjust. If you prefer it sweeter, add a little honey or banana, then blend again briefly.

Why This Smoothie Supports Vision

  • Carrot + spinach deliver carotenoids often linked to maintaining healthy eyesight.
  • Oregano Orejón contributes additional antioxidant and anti-inflammatory compounds.
  • Avocado provides fats that can help your body absorb fat-soluble nutrients like lutein and related carotenoids.
