Pimento cheese sauce

Sweet, Spicy, and Creamy Cranberry Jalapeño Dip (Perfect for Christmas and Beyond)

If you want an easy appetizer that feels festive yet works year-round, this sweet-and-spicy jalapeño-style dip belongs on your menu. It’s the kind of creamy snack that instantly upgrades a weekend gathering, a holiday party, or a casual evening with friends.

The flavor is all about balance: rich cream cheese, a bright fruity note from cherry sauce, and a gentle heat that keeps everyone reaching for “just one more bite.” Serve it with toast, crackers, veggies, or alongside chicken—this dip fits almost any spread.

Pimento cheese sauce

I first made this for a summer backyard barbecue, and it disappeared fast. Within minutes, guests were asking what was in it and requesting the recipe. The best part? It tastes impressive, but it’s incredibly simple to prepare with a handful of pantry-friendly ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 125 ml (½ cup) roasted pepper, drained
  • 250 g (8 oz) cream cheese
  • 125 ml (½ cup) VH® Cherry Sauce
  • 2 ml (½ teaspoon) VH® Soy Sauce
  • 3 tbsp chili sauce
  • 45 ml (3 tbsp) green onion, finely chopped

How to Make It

  1. Chop the pepper
Blend the roasted, drained pepper in an electric blender until finely chopped.

  2. Mix the creamy base
Add the cream cheese, VH® Cherry Sauce, VH® Soy Sauce, and chili sauce. Blend or mix until smooth and well combined.

  3. Finish with green onion
Briefly pulse the green onions in a food processor (or chop by hand), then stir them in.

Serving Ideas

  • Spread on toast or crackers
  • Pair with fresh vegetables
  • Serve as a dip with chicken or biscuits

Enjoy!
