This easy baked salmon in foil recipe pairs tender salmon fillets with crisp asparagus, finished with a bright lemon-butter sauce, garlic, and Parmesan for a flavorful weeknight meal.

Ingredients
- 4 skinless salmon fillets
- 1 lb (454 g) asparagus tips
- 1/3 cup (75 g) butter, melted
- 1/3 cup (125 ml) lemon juice
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tsp (10 ml) fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2/3 cup (65 g) fresh Parmesan cheese, grated
- Optional garnish: extra parsley and lemon wedges
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Arrange the foil packets: Place each salmon fillet in the middle of a 12 x 18 in (30 x 45 cm) sheet of aluminum foil. Split the asparagus into 4 equal portions and place it around the salmon.
- Make the lemon garlic butter sauce: In a bowl, mix the melted butter, lemon juice, minced garlic, and chopped parsley.
- Season and top: Spoon the sauce over the salmon and asparagus. Add salt and pepper to taste, then sprinkle 2–3 tablespoons of Parmesan over each portion.
- Seal and bake: Fold the foil over the salmon and asparagus and crimp the edges tightly to seal. Bake until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily.
- Serve: Carefully open the foil packets (steam will escape). Garnish with parsley and lemon wedges, if desired.
