Ingredients
- 1 avocado seed
- Optional spices: chili powder, paprika, or turmeric (for extra flavor)

Instructions
- Rinse the seed: Wash the avocado pit well to remove any remaining fruit. Dry it with a paper towel.
- Dry it fully: Let the seed air-dry for 24 hours, or bake it at a low temperature of 120°C / 250°F for 1–2 hours until completely dry. A dry seed is much easier to grate.
- Peel the outer skin (optional): After drying, you may remove the thin brown coating. This step isn’t required, but some people prefer it.
- Grate into powder: Using a fine grater, carefully shred the seed into a powder. It typically turns into a reddish-orange dust. Work slowly—the pit is hard, so protect your fingers.
- Add spices (optional): Mix the grated seed with a pinch of chili powder, paprika, or turmeric to make the flavor more pleasant, especially for savory recipes.
- Store properly: Put the avocado seed powder in an airtight container and keep it in a cool, dry place. Use within one week.
Ways to Use Avocado Seed Powder
- Smoothies: Stir in 1/2 teaspoon for added fiber and antioxidants.
- Tea: Mix 1/2 teaspoon into hot water or tea for a distinctive taste and potential wellness benefits.
- Soups and stews: Add a small pinch to warm dishes to boost nutrients without changing the recipe much.
Enjoy.
