Crispy Potato Fritters (Quick & Easy)
These golden, crispy potato fritters come together fast and make a satisfying snack, side dish, or light meal.

Ingredients
- 2 large potatoes, peeled and grated
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- Sour cream or applesauce, for serving (optional)

Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the grated potatoes, onion, garlic, flour, salt, black pepper, and beaten egg. Mix thoroughly until everything is evenly distributed.
- Warm a large skillet over medium heat and pour in enough vegetable oil to reach roughly 1/4 inch (about 0.5 cm) deep.
- Spoon portions of the mixture into the hot oil, then gently press each mound down with a spatula to form small patties.
- Fry for 2–3 minutes per side, or until the fritters are deep golden and crisp.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel–lined plate to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot, with sour cream or applesauce if desired.
