Maria Cookie and Dulce de Leche Layered Dessert

Ingredients

  • 1 ¾ cups (400 ml) heavy whipping cream (extra cold)
  • 2 packs Maria cookies
  • 14 oz (400 g) dulce de leche

Instructions

  1. Whip the cream
    Pour the cold heavy cream into a mixing bowl and beat until it becomes thick and stable—firm, but not overly stiff.

  2. Mix in the dulce de leche
    Add the dulce de leche and continue mixing until the cream turns smooth and holds firm peaks.

  3. Build the layers

    • Spread a layer of the dulce de leche cream mixture in the bottom of a serving dish.
    • Arrange a layer of Maria cookies on top.
    • Keep alternating cream + cookies, finishing with a final layer of cream.
  4. Finish and decorate
    Crush a few Maria cookies and sprinkle the crumbs over the top.

  5. Chill to set
    Refrigerate for at least 3 hours so the dessert sets properly and the flavors meld.
