Dark Chocolate Apple Dessert (Easy & Naturally Flavored)

Ingredients
- 250 g (8.8 oz) dark chocolate
- 800 g (28 oz) apples
- 2 star anise (optional)
- 1 cinnamon stick (optional)
- Orange zest (optional)
Instructions
- Peel and chop the apples into small, even pieces.
- Add the apples to a saucepan with a small splash of water and cook over medium heat.
- For extra aroma, add cinnamon, star anise, and orange zest (optional). Simmer until the apples are very soft.
- Remove any whole spices, then blend the cooked apples into a smooth puree.
- Melt the dark chocolate using a heatproof bowl over gently simmering water, or melt it in the microwave in short bursts.
- Stir the melted chocolate into the apple puree until the mixture is fully smooth and evenly combined.
- Spoon or pour into serving glasses or bowls, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
- Serve chilled.

- Finish with whipped cream or a light dusting of cocoa powder for an extra-special touch.
