Super Creamy Apple Pie
This ultra-creamy apple pie is simple to make, packed with tender sliced apples, and finished with a lightly spiced custard-style batter. Serve it warm for the best texture and flavor.

Ingredients
- 4 large apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a pie dish.
- Layer the apples evenly in the prepared dish, spreading the slices out so they bake uniformly.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk the eggs, sugar, vanilla, and melted butter until the mixture looks smooth and well blended.
- Add the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt, then stir just until combined (avoid overmixing).
- Pour in the heavy cream and mix until you get a silky, pourable batter.
- Pour the batter over the apples, making sure most of the fruit is coated and lightly submerged.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the top is golden and the center is set.
- Let the pie cool for a few minutes, then serve warm.
Serving Ideas
- Top with whipped cream for a light finish
- Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a classic warm-and-cold contrast
Easy Variations
- Mix in chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans work well)
